Bill was inspired by a recent post from for King & Country's Joel Smallbone and his wife, Moriah. While on holiday in Australia, they had a "phone detox" and Joel described the experience.

Moriah and I spent the last month together on holidays in my birthland of Australia. The beginning of the trip started with a debate between us as to how we should handle our phones. Fortunately Moriah had accidentally left hers in the US (ha!) so we only had mine to deal with. In the end we decided to put it away for the trip to “detox” and slow down to hear from each other and God. The first few days I felt the need to check my pockets, but then after awhile I found relief. So many things to share with you and exciting dreams….but most of all, an encouragement to us all to slow down long enough to find silence, to be grateful, to get away far enough to hear that still small voice. I don’t think since iPhones were invented and the band began I’ve ever had this much of a phone fast.. and what a beautiful clarity it afforded us. ???? @mitch.cs
