Churches, It’s Time to Move Forward

For all those months, most organizations - including most churches - have been saying more or less the same thing…
We’ve been with you for decades…. and now, more than ever… during these uncertain times… even though we’re socially distanced at home… we’re here for you… we can get through this… together.

Crazy isn’t it? I’m not sure whether to laugh or be weirded out that so many companies are using such similar scripts.
After 6 months of somber, “we’re here for you” messages coming from everyone, it’s time to turn the page.
People of tired of living in “hunker down mode.” We’re tired of simply persevering and trying to “get through” the pandemic. We’re tired of vague optimism without tangible action.
Things are starting to open up again. But...
But things are different. We’re different. We can’t pretend we’re were. It’s time to lead people out…
- Out of isolation
- Out of hopelessness
- Out of fear
- Out of unemployment
- Out of marital conflict
- Out of drug and alcohol abuse
- Out of passively watching church gatherings
Pray. Ask God to show you and your church the way out. Not back to the way things were, but the way forward.
Then as the Holy Spirit leads, start new initiatives. Perhaps they are small, socially distanced initiatives. Perhaps they are online initiatives.
Inspire and lead your people to help one another, to serve one another, to move forward with one another.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. - 2 Timothy 1:7
